i am actually insane
I think the thing that is frustrating me about Roswell is that it has the potential to tell a truly fascinating story. It has the characters and the actors to do it. But this season has felt like build up after build up and no real payoff. The big moments are rushed and awkward and I can’t believe it’s the end of the season with how little progress it feels has been made. I’m not saying that there aren’t bright spots because there are; like Malex pretty much making the show as compelling as it is, Kyle being the heart and soul of the show, and this new addition of Dallas. They have all of these really really great elements to the show and yet they spent half the season shoving Maria down out throats only for her to be non-existent the last part of the season (which really is fine with me I hated her story, but still) and now we have this last half of the season that is hand wavy quick science that I usually just write off bc they are aliens it’s not going to make perfect sense but they are setting up these details so fast and loose that in the end it is clearly unbelievable even in their own universe. I mean Liz is a freaking genius and yet I feel like they haven’t really even shown it, they have just had her talk about it in some quite frankly odd scenes with Jones. I don’t want to be a downer but it’s getting frustrating and I want to love this so badly.
I'm excited for Foolish to use the elytra to make more unnecessarily elaborate oversized builds that no one uses.
*sigh* if you’re going to write a story in third person just give Y/N a name! That’s a character. That’s not the reader. ‘Y/N was walking down the stairs. Y/N was sipping on her coffee. Y/N was timid and sweet and kind and passive and ordinary.’
NO IM NOT!! And Y/N is driving me insane!
That’s not a reader insert!! That’s just a third person limited or third person omniscient. Reader inserts are done in second person. GIVE YOUR LEAD GIRL A NAME AND STOP BEING ANNOYING!
