“-- Aa.” She hadn’t intended on shopping today, but her wanderings often brought her to familiar areas, if only to reduce her chance of getting lost. Mismatched eyes peer into the window of a certain high-fashion storefront, her shaggy head peering around the corner.

... But even then, a few things still need saying.

[TEXT] so stop worrying and come see her

[Your name is Terezi Pyrope, and today, the 14th of October, is your wriggling day.

Okay, it’s not actually your wriggling day, since sweeps do not nicely convert into years, but the first year you were here it was the day approximated by your friend Sollux. You’ve been running with it ever since.]

[You don’t remember falling back to sleep, but you do remember getting absurdly dizzy. Did you pass out? Whatever.]

[When you open your eyes again, there’s a very pink person who seems to have joined the fluffy kid. The silence between them is tense, and Jared returned to reading whatever document he was looking at. The pink one, though, is watching you.]

[You rub your eyes and sit up again, stretching even through the incessant, sharp pains. You turn back to the pair, but when you do, it looks like Joseph already peaced out. How peculiar.]

UHHH

[It’s a random encounter. You catch his scent while wandering one of the wards, and at first you brushed it off--he hadn’t texted you or anything--but the more you caught a whiff, the more it nagged at you.

Eventually, you decided to follow the scent.

Eventually, you find him.

Eventually, your suspicions are confirmed.]

KOUH4...?

[You stop before he notices you. He didn’t message you. He didn’t seek you out. He didn’t contact you at all.

After everything, you don’t think he’d decide he wanted nothing to do with you--you trust him enough not to believe that. That meant that either he didn’t know you were here, was too nervous or worried to contact you, or he didn’t remember you.]

[The latter option is what scares you.]

[The latter option is what gives you pause.]

[If he’s a different Kouha--one that never met you--is it fair to put him through all of that again? Would it even turn out the same? Could you face the knowledge that he doesn’t know you?

You almost back up. 

You almost turn around.

But something else catches your attention and you exhale, not realizing you were holding your breathe.

You catch the scent of the necklace he’s wearing and it wipes the doubt from your mind. A relieved smile spreads across your face and you start running.]

KOUH4!!!!!!!

[You basically jump at him and wrap your arms around him, not even caring if you both tumble to the ground. You can feel tears sting the corners of your eyes, but you ignore them.]
