oh I ate the Kernza (Thinopyrum intermedium) pasta a few days ago. I thought it was good—maybe outlierly so among whole wheat pastas or maybe that was wishful thinking. Probably won't switch to it or anything since even on sale it was $3/1lb box, and the full price is >$6. But it was fun to try.

bargain room highlight: wheat-Kernza pasta. I went to a talk about Kernza (Thinopyrum intermedium, a grass not entirely dissimilar to wheat, importantly perennial) breeding in undergrad and I've wanted to taste it since.

cheese: another aged Gouda, forget which

interaction: didn't get carded for a fifth of gin

comments: alright, time to admit I'm a fake fan of grocery shopping. Produce, cheeses, beans, bulk, easy stuff? A pleasure. Fraught choices like olive oil, paper products, cleaners? Less so.
