getting rid of valko gets rid of rafayel’s foil. the game is set up for 6 li’s! valko is the yellow stella! his removal removes the next part of the main story—the chapters in which we were going to learn about mc’s aether core (the big mystery driving the plot!) this will cause ripples throughout the rest of the entire narrative. if you thought the writing in lads was weak before, well it’s going to be very shoddily patched together now! if it gets released at all. if you were waiting for caleb or sylus’s next chapters, they’ll need to be partly rewritten most likely. at the very least. this seems like the worst move for the company, the game, and the players. if you don’t like him, don’t pull for him. don’t read his chapters even. but not allowing him to be added means the game will slowly die. no new storylines or characters in a game that relies on maintaining interest and gaining new players? death sentence. you have to add new stuff!

why does everyone jump to fallen angel for caleb? like we have enough christian mythology associated with him with the whole eve/snake/apple thing. sylus reads more fallen angel to me. he’s a demon/fiend, which is sometimes associated with fallen angels. he has had wings in both myths. in one of his world underneath tales, we’re told he was from a place where love was forbidden, but he fell for mc anyway, and was cast out. feels very fallen angel to me. plus there were literal angel statues in his dragon myth and in his new myth poster. i think another myth that could fit with caleb is actually icarus, who flew too close to then sun and fell. caleb is associated with the sun. he also did not have natural wings, but mechanical ones in his myth. mazes are also brought up quite often with him, and you know what other thing Icarus (and his father) are associated with? the labyrinth
