Fremont, Seattle.
Last night we hit that part of town to see our favorite local band in one of the visually funkiest parts of town.
One thing, though: even though weāre still hittinā late night bars after all these years... weāre not inclined to standĀ the whole night through, So even though a band was on stage performing, the lot of us positioned ourselves near different tables along the wall across from the bar.
A couple of the girls did manage to score bar stools... but the real prize came when, after a half-hour or so of staking out tables, the group in front of me settled up their tab and got up to leave.
Itās a particular stage of life when the party only starts when you can sit. Is all Iām saying.
You know?Ā
Then we were comfortable, taking coats off, ordering drinks. And then our band took the stage and all was right in the world.
Except the Pint & a Shot. The Jim Beam was swell, but the beer weāre pretty sure... was Pabst.
No bueno.
Ohhhhhhhh... so no bueno.
An expensive mistake, by the way. One never to be repeated again if our marriage is to continue. ;-)
The band wrapped up about 1AM and we hung out another half hour chattinā some more. Then we parted ways and KimmerĀ ān I walked over to that 16 footĀ statue of communist revolutionary Vladimir LeninĀ whoās responsible for keeping Fremont safe from crime.
Apparently.
Anyway, itās 130-ish in the morning and I really really wanted to get some pictures of Holiday Lenin.
The End.
