Dearest author, I come forth with a question of utmost importance. Is Thing romance 100% off the table? Signed by a person who had: 'They sound kind of hot. Would have been fun to have the entire world hate our guts for releasing/getting down with this mass murderer monstrosity ' as my first thought after reading that pice of Lore. PS. Your code is amazing✨️. I personally got a quick reality slap, after glancing at other author's codes. Don't know how you make it without an entire class.

To be blunt, there is no romance. For the Thing as its goal is to empty the world. It's not a person or creature, it's something that took form and assimilated the bodies to itself.
