Marisol’s birthday is basically november 25 (the first time i took a screenshot of her in game) thru december 5 (the first use of her tag on this blog)

so, currently, i’ve just had commissions open on a discord i’m in as a way to keep the amount small/manageable

after this round of comms i was going to open them up to tumblr/make a comms post on tumblr, but i’m currently a bit behind on them vs how fast i was going through them when i initially made this plan haha….

i’m hopefully back on track, so once i get done with this latest round of discord comms i’ll make a post here on tumblr and open them up to a wider audience :) but i also want to set up a more formal process than what i have now since doing them on here will mean getting comms from outside of people i kind of know haha, and it would probably be good to be more organized as well as have the wait time more visible.

currently, i do prefer doing comms where i don’t get payment until i actually start because that gives me some breathing room for various mental things that can happen but i also understand that people comm when they have the ability to do so and it’s easier on THEM to get payment out of the way asap sometimes. so i would like to be more organized to accommodate that.

SO! answer is, once i finish this round of comms and then also set up a more formal process, then i’ll make a post announcing comms with my prices here on tumblr :)

based on me reblogging art that i've drawn but other people have posted you may have notice i've been experimenting with taking on some commissions. right now it's limited to people i'm in a discord with (just because i wasn't sure if i'd get overwhelmed and wanted to keep the sample size small)

right now my sample list and waitlist is filled up, but afterwards...depending on if i still feel like it's something i can take on, i might make a non-re-bloggable post (so it's less likely to breach containment lol) with what i'm currently comfortable with taking on + prices.

i'm considering opening up them up to mutuals on here before that? so if we're mutuals you can go ahead and message me and we can chat about it lol.

this isn't to like...cut anyone off but just to keep the size down because i would like to keep this being fun vs overwhelming for me haha - and, if possible, i'd like to stick to it just being dragon age fandom aside from special cases (like if it's from a mutual).

but y'all can hopefully look forward to that comms post in a month or so?

i’ve recently been more active in a discord and actually talking OCs with others and talking about marisol and being excited about her

and! people! actually comment and put her in situations!! and talk about world building with me and adding to my headcanon for her????

i’ve never actively talked OCs with anyone outside of my sisters, or been active in fandom in that specific way and 😭🥺

i understand why people RP now and i just…it’s just been so nice to gush about and make dumb jokes about mine and others blorbos

praise aside, i’m kind curious: if marisol were to ever commit to a whole “marry/have kids/what not” bit, who would be the primary partner in that? viago or lucanis? + any lore ranting is heavily appreciated

AHHHH omg thank you so much! i’m so happy you both like her and that she inspired you to hop back in!

so i think Marisol is kind of ambivalent about the whole marriage and kids thing - she didn’t really experience parental love or have a role model relationship to look at in that regard and it’s not a thing she’s truly ever “dreamed” about.

however! i DO HC Lucanis as having a desire for a family - i feel like he wants marriage very much and would also want a child, though he might be afraid to ask for or voice that second want.

so when ive entertained the possibility, ive always kind of settled on that if Marisol were to get married, it would be to Lucanis. Viago would also be there lmao. he’s part of the relationship even if not in an official “on paper” way.

as much as my brain is currently completely consumed by Marisol x Viago - i feel like them getting married would mean they would actually have to define and finally FACE whatever it is they are to each other, and they’re both too avoidant and emotionally stunted for that. they’ll just keep being super weird and obsessive/possessive over each other. (they gave each other matching tattoos with poisoned ink and yet they won’t say i love you SMH)

as for kids! at most i could see Marisol having two - one with Lucanis and one with Viago. but she would most likely only have a kid with Lucanis. a girl, who would be raised by the four of them (bc Spite is also there lol).

some of this might change if Viago takes the throne, but that’s a whole different thing lol

as for who the primary is…it’s Marisol hehehe

but posting writing and posting in communities that are Rook/OC centric is a good start!

i, unfortunately, have no real advice on content creation or getting engagement. i’ve only ever really posted art and not much else and also do not understand algorithms or how to tag/blog things to be more visible or reach a bigger audience

but i also kind of don’t care much about that? i had a decent sized following on deviantart as a teen and ended up getting anxious about posting because id worry about an art not doing well or drawing a different fandom and people being mad/disappointed

and then i came to tumblr and it happened again with supernatural hahaha.

and i’ve had to just kind of work on turning that part of my brain off - now i just try to draw what i enjoy and post what i like and try not to worry about engagement.

however!!! i’m privileged to do that because i don’t depend on content creation (ie on a blog/commissions) for work and have also already made a few friends who will comment or engage with me on my OC stuff so it doesn’t feel like i’m yelling into the void. because that can definitely get disheartening, and it hurts to put yourself out there and not be seen.
