I didn't do my makeup (eyebrows, eyes, covering blemishes etc), wore my glasses, and put on the first clothes I saw (aka what I consider comfy - baggy button-up sweater, high waist jeans, beat up loafers), and I def felt the opposite of cute the whole day, and this bro (at h&m) did a double take and was like, "just gorgeous!" and nodded his approval and walked up the escalator, and I wanted to laugh so. Much. normally I'd be annoyed or creeped out, but tbh I didn't feel any of those things. Good to know that even when I feel my least cute, I'm still bomb apparently *hits ego on the door on the way out* ššš But rly, it's so weird to me also bc I felt like I had a very typical queer outfit on, I even had a baggy bro tank on underneath my baggy button-up sweater (thrifted too, good lord) and like, I honestly DON'T expect straight cis men to be attracted to my look (shaved head, piercings, tattoos, etc -- glasses even, I get treated differently when o wear glasses vs when I wear contacts) bc my image is very much embedded in my queer femme identity, and the most common thing I hear from straight cis men when they're *trying* to compliment me is, "your look is so different, something about it," and I just wanna burst out laughing and be like, "IT'S BECAUSE I'M TOTALLY GAY!!!!!!" šššš
