he slips up behind her and slides his arms around her waist, leaning down and kissing the back of her neck before murmuring 'hey, babe' close to her ear.
Elbows are propped against the metal rails of the dock, frame leaning forward so she can get one last look of their little bay. Theirs. She kind of claimed ownership of these waters the minute they’d moved here. They were so gentle & calming / & the way the sun set behind them ; it had always been her favorite. She was going to miss New Orleans. Hawaii was a whole new adventure, sure, but the adventures she’d had here ( whether good or bad ) were some she’d never forget.
Eyelids flutter shut, so her other senses can heighten at everything around her. Nose catches the scent of fresh water, & the cool breeze which also brushes against porcelain skin. It left a trail of goosebumps up her arms. & ears discover the sound of seagulls chirping, a buoy in the distance whose bell guides through troubled waters. She can even hear the horn of a riverboat, one of her favorite sounds on this dock. It all triggers a smile on rosy lips, then she hears the footsteps of one Nathan Drake approaching behind her.
She stays still for a moment, eyes opening slowly as she feels thefamiliar warmth envelop her lower half. The hair on her neck prickles up with each kiss he leaves & she can’t help but let out a soft hum of satisfaction.
