Should you use a thick or thin yoga mat?
The decision of using a thick yoga mat or a thin yoga mat solely depends upon you. Most people prefer to opt for a thick yoga mat as it gives them an extra cushion on the hard ground. I personally use yoga mats having the standard thickness of 1/8 inch as it suffices my needs. I have read that people often find it slightly to harder to balance on thicker mats but as I mentioned earlier, it all depends on how comfortable you are, what kind of asanas are you practicing, how much do you want to protect your knees and joints from the hard ground, etc.
