now let me tell you a story, about a girl and a boy. He fell in love with his best friend when she's around he feels nothing but joy.

"Autumn, look your favorite." a eight year old Vincent held up a daisy to a seven year old Autumn. 

"Silly Vinny, I love daffodils!" Autumn giggled as she took the flower and smelled it sweetly.

"Oh.." Vincent put his head down as his cheeks flushed a light pink.

"It's okay Vin, I still love it." Autumn sweetly got on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek.

but she was already broken, and it made her blind. but she could never believe that love would ever treat her right.

"Autumn?" a nine year old Vincent knocked on his best friend's bedroom door.

"Go away, Vin.." Autumn called from behind the maple wood. 

"Is everything alright, could you just talk to me?" he asked softly.

Slowly Autumn poked her head out from behind the door.

"Mom and dad were fighting again.. He hit her again, Vinny." she whispered as tears flew down her precious face. 

"Come here." He took a hold of her shoulders and pulled her into a bone crushing hug.

Did you know that I loved you? Or were you not aware? You're the smile on my face, and I ain't going no where.

"Hehe Vin! Autumn's calling! Answer your phone!" ten year old Vincent's cell phone rang at two am. 

"H-Hello?" His voice raspy and tired. 

"V-Vin? C-Could you come over? I need you." Autumn's soft voice rang through Vin's ear as she helplessly cried.

"On my way." Vin placed his phone in his pajama pants before walking next door.

Who's gonna make you fall in love? I know you got your wall wrapped all the way around your heart.

"Um, Autumn?" Eleven year old Vincent poked his best friend as they were laying in the grass.

"Yeah, Vin?" she turned her head over to look him in the eyes.

"Do you ever want to get married some day? Like be a mommy and have a husband?" he asked as autumn scrunched her face up.

"No, daddys only hurt mommys like my daddy did. And I never want to talk about it, either." Autumn's voice became more faint as she caught her breath, fighting back tears.

"Okay.." Vincent said, pulling her into the billionth hug.

Well, I can tell you're afraid of what this might do. Cause we got such an amazing friendship and that you don't wanna loose. Well, I don't wanna lose it either. But I don't think I can stay sitting around while you're hurting babe, so take my hand.

"Autumn.. I've got something to tell you." fourteen year old Vincent peaked his head through his best friend's bedroom door.

"Oh my god, Vin! Jamie just called and she said Mikey actually likes me! I mean ME of all people! Isn't that great!" Autumn jumped into Vincent's arms and squealed.

"Oh.. That's great, Autumn." Vin forced a smile onto his face as he made up a fake excuse to get himself the hell out of there.

Well, did you know you're an angel who forgot how to fly? Did you know that it breaks my heart every time to see you cry?  Cause I know that a piece of you's gone, every time he done wrong I'm the shoulder you're crying on.

"It's okay Aut, he's a complete idiot for not seeing how perfect you are." Fifteen year old Vincent cradled his best friend in his arms as she sobbed quietly.

"No." She said through quick and heated breaths. 

"It's... Me.. I'm.. A.. Disaster." Autumn cried between each word.

"No, you are perfect, do you hear me? Don't let anyone else make you feel otherwise." Vin smiled and kissed the top of her head before letting her sob on.

"Autumn." Sixteen year old Vincent quickly, as he took a deep breath in. Looking at his best friend in her "Cinderella dress"

"Do you like it? My mom says i'm going to out do the bride." she smiled while turning in a circle.

"Flawless." he smiled.

"You know Autumn, you look beautiful tonight." Vincent said as they slow danced to whatever song the DJ was playing.

"You look.. not so vin-ish." Autumn smiled back. 

"You always look beautiful." He smiled back, and pulled her closer, if that was even possible.

"You're only saying that.. Because i'm in a dress." She laughed, her cheeks becoming more red as the seconds flew.

"No, i'm saying that because I love you." 

"Well, I love you too." she smiled sweetly, innocent eyes looking up to her best friends.

"Autumn, I'm in love with you."

"What?" She said breathlessly.

"Yes." He leaned down and kissed her lightly before she had anything else to say, before she had a thought to ruin the moment. Before she said the words that might ruin their friendship forever.

"I love you too." she said as quiet as possible, only Vincent could hear it.

"But she didn't like daisies, she liked daffodils." 25 year old Vincent laughed as he retold this favorite story, to his entire family and hers, on Autumn and Vincent's wedding day.
