The thing is milkvan is actually a cute concept and the duffers could've done alot with it. They could've turned it into a passionate slowburn. They could've had their relationship blossom from friends, to crushes, to lovers, throughout the seasons. But.. they didn't. Season 1 and 2 was just them being forced together romantically (even when they barely knew eachother). Then season 3 and 4 came around which was just a disaster for milkvan, with the whole 'you dont love me' plot which never really was resolved considering el stayed upset at mike at the end of season4.
The writers could've written the ship sooo much better but they didn't. And thats all the proof i need to know that they arent lasting this season and that they arent gonna be endgame.
