sam was beginning to feel as though she was stuck. and that wasn't the best feeling for her. she was just this kind of feeling that she was going through the motions. and everything was fine. but then she realized she actually was feeling as though she could feel something...different. like her mind was acting strange. and, of course, she was at the aquarium party. which was supposed to just be fine and fun and absolutely no big deal. except there was an announcement over the speakers. something about some problem with the doors, some storm surge or something. and now she was stuck and her brain was feeling wonky and she didn't know what was happening. and across the room she saw her sister. no. that wasn't right. she didn't have a sister. did she? her head was killing her. she moved toward the bar set up, not seeing anyone working, and moved behind the bar to make herself a drink. "does anyone else want anything?"
adam had just been at the aquarium because he had nowhere else to go. honestly, he'd been wandering around aimlessly. and with his luck, of course, he'd been there when it started snowing. he just hunkered down and sat there. and when he heard the voice on the speaker calling out, "sorry folks," he had tuned out the rest because, of fucking course he was stuck. he had wandered around the entire place before finding his way to what seemed like the actual party area, sitting down at the bar and grabbing the nearest bottle and pouring himself a drink. "i fucking hate snow storms."
