My inspiration for Yinuo came from an old OC I made at 10. She was made for Wind Waker and was the sage of the unmentioned spirit temple; originally, her name was Kii. Why? I have no clue, girl. She had a "spirit" sword and was very emotionless, omg. She didn't have much character going for her, just a sad, lonely girl waiting for the Hero of Winds to pray at her temple to power up the master sword. With her new design, her braids didn't make the cut (Weeps bc I freaking love braids), but I did keep them for her child and teenage self! As for the color, her hair was always black, and she wore green robes (at the time, I was super into Avatar too, so I tried to base it off Earth Kingdom clothing in my epic ten-year-old art skill). The green didn't cut her teen or adult design, but it made it for her child design! In fact, her kid design is close to what I probably envisioned for her at age ten...
Mengyao has claimed the color green (and pink) for herself. It just fits her more. Yinuo, on the other hand, has a more indigo vibe, you feel me? The color feels like 2010s emo/scene core when you pair it with black. My edge lord daughter... omg. I also love how it means mystical and wisdom, like, it just fits my weirdass, mystical, wise daughter! But it's so funny how I gave her a twin sister, while she retained some parts of older design like being a sage. It's nothing like the sages in LOZ, though; it's just a title for the smartest students. Reason why she's called the Stellar Sage is to sorta hint at that history, though this reference is both more for myself and also world-building purposes. All sages have their own unique titles.
Cherry? Hatsune Miku PFT!!!!! It sounds like a joke but no, I was inspired by her when making Cherry. I always hear World is Mine when I write or draw her lol! Of course, she formed her own character along the way, the more I wrote for her. Her colors are pink and teal because I couldn't choose between the two, they both fit her dramatic ass!!!!
Honey? I don't have one for him, haha! I just wanted to write/draw a cute, wholesome boi who loves baking cookies for friends. But, like with Cherry, he began to form his own character during the writing process. I adore him... now he's a cute, wholesome celestial weapon birb that likes to bake cookies for his friends, but also consumes the flesh and blood of humans... to his race, they're very yummy.
