"Personally, I'm not a fan of fics or fanarts that have Geralt no longer interested in Yen just to get him with Jaskier. To me, they're a polycule. Yennafer is so important to Geralt that it always feels out of character for him to lose interest in her or even give up on their relationship.
(Not digging anyone, yall do you!)"

"I am quite literally LIVING for the moment that I get to see Ciri and Avallac'h interact in Netflix's version of The Witcher. The ship has sailed indeed."
"I keep flip-flopping on whether or not I like Henry Cavill as Geralt.
Did I enjoy his run? Yes. Do I like him? No.
Do I think he was a good Geralt? Today yes, tomorrow no. Idek anymore..."
"i'm pretty tired of seeing hateposts about the netflix show everywhere people talk about the witcher. it's like the only thing people talk about anymore, especially on the subreddit (which is just a shitshow anyways). the show wasn't just made for the hardcore books & games fans - it was made for anyone to be able to watch, digest, and enjoy. i'm totally fine with people having opinions and i know not all of the show is accurate to the source material, the hate just gets ridiculously excessive. if you really hate the show that much then just ... don't watch it and don't post about it?
to be clear: valid criticisms are one thing and that's not what i'm talking about; there's just so much hate like "this show is shit!" with no real explanation, or "characters being gay & poc is woke!" that comes from a place of bigotry."

"It's frustrating when people who criticize the show get lumped in with the racist and misogynist reddit bros. A lot of us don't have an issue with the show because of the casting choices, it's the writing that bothers us. We weren't expecting a 1:1 adaptation and we know it's impossible to accurately adapt a book, but the majority of the characters are nothing like their book counterparts. As a big Geralt fan, it's really upsetting to see him being reduced to a generic grunting macho Hollywood guy when he is nothing like that in the books. They often dive deeper into these stereotypes and break them. And no, he wasn't a grunt in the games either, he had way more personality in his pinky than the entirety of show Geralt."
"The Netflix show is absolute garbage, but not because there are POC actors there. The absolute contempt the creators have for the IP, the bad writing, the bastardization of the characters, how Geralt was basically reduced into a side character, the lack of Polish actors, etc. Those are the reasons why the show sucks."
"shipping jaskier and geralt is funny because it's like trying to make a rat kiss a lion. but shipping jaskier and yennefer is hilarious because it's like making the rat kiss the lioness that has already threatened to eat him whole thrice over"
