Ramping up.
Now that March is here, the marathon is approaching quickly. So today I embarked on a long 15 mile run. This was my longest run ever.
After fun and games at the Polar Plunge yesterday, focusing on 15 miles was relatively easy but tiring indeed.
A was certainly sore afterwards, but feeling very happy that I managed such a run in 2 hours and 34 minutes (with a couple of resting stops outside of that time). And a great cup of french onion soup at the Wild Onion in St. Paul sure hit the spot afterwards.
And the weather forecast shows that Spring is likely here and Winter is done! But this IS Minnesota, so morning can still be chilly.
To top it all, yesterday my new pair of OOFOS arrived! These are wonderful shoes for recovery after a run. Thanks Dana-Farber and OOFOS for their great support.
