Season 1, Episode 3

In this episode our hero ventures out for his annual (more or less) physical exam.  Apparently doctor’s offices are not the same as Urgent Care Clinics or Emergency rooms.  Patients are non-existent and staff are bored.  My doctor spent at least a half hour with me.  After learning I had a brother in Alabama, related a story of a cousin who went to Alabama and found the people quite friendly and polite to his face at least.  Was surprised being an Asian person. 

Bantered about a number of things, some medical some not.  Even got instruction on hand washing, and I had to demonstrate how well I listened.  He did insist I have a flu shot and pneumonia shot, although I’m not certain what good they will do.  Probably make me sick ironically.  

I’ve returned to the solitude of my house, but have a new friend.  Found an old partially inflated volleyball that I can decorate with a face from spaghetti sauce (no bodily fluids).  Unfortunately, I am not lucky like Tom Hanks and get a friend like Wilson.  Mine”s name Voit!

Season 1, Episode 2

In this Episode we find our hero Rick isolated in his home.  It seems the Orange-haired menace has finally decided that the pandemic is something more than a media hoax or something concocted by the evil Nancy Pelosi and Adam Shiff. 

His employer has ordered employees, as much as possible, to work from home.  After all if medical practitioners can do virtual rectal examinations ... so can we.  Rick’s boss even “strongly” suggested that because of his “age” Rick was at risk and should stay home.  Should have told him his diaper needs changing!  

So here I am listening to the occasional neighborhood dog barking while sitting naked in my blow-up chair eating Cheetos!  This appears to be how it is going to be for a while.  My next trip into the office may be to check out (excuse the term).  

Stay tuned for Episode 3 when Rick ventures out for his annual medical examination ... 4 months late ... so he does not have to argue about renewing prescriptions until Season 2.     

Season 1, Episode 1

In our first Episode our hero Rick (coincidence? I think not) ventures out in search of sustenance at his local Pete’s Coffee House.  

This is his story:   

 I saw a lonely jogger this morning running in the rain.  After getting my coffee I went to Trader Joe’s in search of those things lacking at the Bel Air.  There were 3 Santa Maria Tri-tips.  I was tempted to take all three, but had no idea why.  Plenty of chicken breast and other chicken parts ... odd.  Also found sourdough bread which was totally gone at Bel Air.  Oddly enough pasta aisle was pretty much wiped out but for 3 packages of spaghetti ... I grabbed one.  Not crowded but still early for California.  On the way home passed the Creekside Church which is one of those mega-churches that is always busy.  Closed down and hardly a soul around.  Guessing I won’t have Jehovah’s today spreading “the word” amongst other things.  Will venture out later to file State taxes (yes Washington it does exist still). In our next episode our hero will go to work, but not sure if  he will be joined by anyone else.
