Stuck in a Downpour: starter for the-vindictive-king
There were many circumstances that the young clanswoman could tolerate, put up with even, if she had to. If this was one of those situations, Seiki believed that she would have been able to better tolerate the inclement weather that suddenly assaulted the earth. Dark swathes of clouds swarmed together overhead, forming a shaded barrier that blotted out the sun. Hazel eyes gazing up at the ominous shadows, she merely let out a sigh before she continued on her patrol, scrutinizing citizens as she passed them, but otherwise not doing much of anything else.
One drop, then two, fell to the ground, creating a dusky stain on the concrete. For a moment, she eyed them with disinterest, and continued on her way, plodding along at an easy pace. This did not last for long, for soon, the fat droplets pummeled the ground, hitting pavement and citizens alike with equal force. Again, she cursed the captain's lack of foresight when it came to providing umbrellas for days such as this. Then again, to be fair, she had caught nothing on the weather portion of the news signaling inclement weather. Shaking her head, she simply forged on, keeping an eye out for trouble.
For the most part, nothing momentous occurred to trouble her senses. As it was, the weather took a turn for the worse. Will the rain never stop? Can I get home without calling in sick tomorrow? Bah...it's just weather. Anyone can stand a little rain. No, wait, I stand corrected. This is a blasphemous amount of rain, her thoughts contradicted themselves, consuming her mind as she trekked along, one hand dangling limply at her side, the other hovering over the hilt of her sword, water dripping from her fingertips, trailing across the crevices of her palm.
"Oomph-" Her voice cut off as she collided with a passerby, forced back several steps. Able to keep herself from falling, the Blue finally looked up as she gained her bearings, eyes traveling up to look into the face of...the Red King.
Well then, her day was just fantastic, wasn't it?
