An Uncharted Gangsters FanFiction
A lot of people say the Vault is a lie; that the old man was just pissed off that his family didn't give two fucks for him anymore. So, he decided to put them through a goose chase for some chuck change on their end of the man's will. Let's just hope they can get to the Vault first before the world does...
Prologue: Before the Vault
(A/N): Yay! First chapter! I would have a song for this chapter, but for some reason I can’t remember the name of the song! >~< I looked all over the internet, tried to hum it into this app I found, still nothing. No problem though. Enjoy the first chapter!
“Why the fuck are we doing this at night? Wouldn’t it be much easier if the security was focused on the busy hours more than the damn building itself?” Nathan spat as he slouched in the back of a black Mercedes the Boss had given them and a few other crew members to use for the heist. The Boss had about four of them out of the twenty cars he already had, so it didn’t really matter if one was scratched during a car chase.
Sam looked out from his binoculars to glance at Nathan. “The guards would be blocking the private hallways of the casino during opening hours. If we go in after hours, we can avoid certain hallways and get the hell out of there a lot faster.” He explained before returning his eyes back into the binoculars. “You’re lucky I got you in, Nathan. After your last fucking screw up, the Boss almost didn’t want you to work on this one.”
Nathan sat up in his seat and raised his hands up, furrowing his eyebrows. “What the hell? You guys placed me as bait!”
“And Boss is still pleased with your…exquisite skills in car chases. Plus, we made sure we had the cash for your bail money.”
“You’re an asshole, you know that, right?”
Sam grins at his answer as he continued focusing his eyes on the right side of the casino building.
The Helix is one of the most riches casino in America, built in Las Vegas. Customers would say it’s a fucking rip-off to play there since only ten people won during the thirty years it has been open.
“Hey, Samuel?” A voice buzzed in the walkie-talkie in the cup holder between Sam and Nathan.
Sam picked it up and buzzed in. “We’re good to go?”
“Yeah. Is Nate coming in?” Asked the voice.
Nathan yanks the walkie-talkie from Sam’s grasp. “What the fuck does that mean, Harry?” Nathan spat before Sam took the walkie-talkie back.
“I just want to make sure if this heist is going to be a simple task, mate. That’s not a problem, is it?”
“Guys, guys, guys. Let’s work on the heist first then piss off one another later, alright?” Sam says into the walkie-talkie as he glances over at Nathan.
“…Whatever you say, Mate, but if Nate fucks this up, you owe me a case of beer, ya?” Harry asked.
“Mm-hmm. Give me the safe spot.”
“Side door, west entrance. There should be three guards walking through the hallways.” Harry explained as Nathan and Sam placed an ear piece in their ears before stepping out the car.
Where’s the hallways towards the safe?” Nathan asked as he shut the car door almost simultaneously with Sam’s.
“Second floor. There’s about eight men guarding that damn floor, though. I’ll come up there once you two soften the blow up there.” Harry answered before a chuckle.
Nathan rolled his eyes as Sam waved at him to head for the door. Once they made it to the door, Sam glances at Nathan another time, letting him respond with a nod.
“Harry, what’s the pin to the door?” Nathan asked.
“Oh, my bad. Twenty-forty-six.” Harry answered.
Nathan repeats the pin to Sam and he punches it in. The door unlocks with a click and Sam opens it, peeking his head inside to make sure nobody was watching the door.
“Which way, Harry?” Sam asked as he took his first few steps into the casino’s hallways; he waves Nathan in.
“Left. Two doors down, there should be a surveillance room. Don’t know why they have it downstairs, but hey, makes it easier.” Harry replied. “Be careful, though. Don’t know how many men are in there.”
“That’s not a problem at all.” Sam responded with a grin before quickly moving his feet down the hallway and gently laid himself against the wall beside the surveillance room door. Nathan had followed right behind him while making sure no other guards were changing posts.
Sam cracks the door open and glanced inside. There were only two men chatting among themselves.
Sam turns to Nathan. “It’s just two. I’ll get the right, you get the left.” He directed, whispering.
Nathan nods again. Sam pulls open the door and sped walked into the room. He quickly grabbed the man on the right, pulled him back so he wouldn’t reach any controls to set off an alarm, and squeezed the guard into a choke hold. He glanced over at Nathan, noticing he almost had his own guard asleep.
Once the Drake Brothers finally knocked out the guards, they wrapped the guards’ hands and feet together before duck tapping their mouths. They placed them in a corner of the room away from the cameras before heading back out the hallways.
“What’s next?” Sam asked Harry.
“You should be good to just walk up the stairs, but like I said, eight.” Harry responded.
Nathan covers his ear piece while grabbing Sam’s black t-shirt to pull him to speak into his free ear.
“Does he fucking understand we can handle that many guards?” Nathan spats.
“I do, you piece of shit. It’s called a heads up if you haven’t heard about it.” Harry replied, startling Nathan.
Sam rolls his eyes before tapping at his own ear piece, so Nathan would understand Harry was able to still hear the entire time. Nathan dropped his hand from his own and looked away, embarrassed.
“Let’s just keep moving.” Sam offered and hurried up the stairs to the next floor where the safe was held.
The second he made it upstairs, he already spotted a guard and hurried behind a wall as Nathan followed behind and slapped his body right beside him.
“This would be the best time to use those tasers. It should have enough ‘powa to knock those sons of bitches into next week. Don’t want them waking up anytime soon, eh?” Harry explained before a laugh. It almost sounded a little evil, almost nearly weirding out Sam and Nathan.
“We’re not trying to kill them, Harry.” Sam responded.
“Don’t worry! It’s not going to kill them…just make them piss their pants is all.”
Nathan rolled his eyes before pulling out his taser.
Sam yanks out his and dashed for the guard down the hallway. He quickly tasers him in the neck, making the man fall limp and out cold. Nathan watches as two guards steps out from room behind Sam. Nathan runs for them, slapping one in the back of the head to distract him, then tasered the other. Once the guard made eye contact with Nathan, Sam had already tasered the guard in the stomach.
“Three.” Sam sighed before speed walking back down the hall.
“Turn right.” Harry demanded. “There’s three more. Two blocking the doors to the next hallway and the third walking around.”
Sam slaps his body against the wall to the next hallway and peeks over to see where the third man was. He heavily sighs before turning to Nathan.
“They’ll see us a mile away. How the hell are we supposed to get though that?” Sam asked him, knowing Nathan probably didn’t have an answer as well. Nathan shrugs.
“That’s where I come in.” Harry answered, sounding a little more nearby than in the microphone.
Nathan looked towards his left and almost jumped out his shoes. Harry was leaning against the wall beside him, smirking at him with full confidence during his sneaky entrance.
Harry tried his best not to laugh as he raised up from the wall to look into the next hall.
“Watch this.” He says before tossing a blue bouncy ball down the hallway.
The ball grabbed the two guards’ attention. Once the ball stopped bouncing and rolled up towards them, one of the guards picked it up to make sure it was just a ball. The other guard laughs.
“Hey, Darren!” The guard called.
“Yeah?” The guard walking through the hallway called.
“Did you drop a bouncy ball?”
“Then, who did?” Teased the guard holding the ball.
Suddenly, the ball explodes with no sound, but with smoke blinding the guards.
“Now!” Harry says before dashing down the hallway. “I’ll take out the other one. Take out those two!”
Sam and Nathan started running for the smoked screened guards, instantly tasering them the second they saw them within the smoke. After they took them out, they waved out the smoke before it hit their lungs enough to get them to start coughing. Harry met with them and found them giving him confused looks; he starts laughing.
“That’s a smoke bomb one of the guys back at the garage made. It’s pretty sweet, right? You throw it to let it bounce a couple of times to trigger the damn thing. It doesn’t even make a sound!”
“The safe, Harry.” Nathan interrupted, sounding impatient.
Harry gave him a quick glare before glancing at Sam and raising a hand towards the door behind the brothers.
“Right this way.” He replied before walking towards the door. As Harry did, he purposely bumps into Nathan before opening the door.
Nathan leans into Sam. “You see that?” He asked him.
“Ignore it.” Sam responded, sounding a little irritated himself.
Though, before the brothers could even realize, they were already a bit too late. Harry had taken out the last two men that he had accounted for, making them take out all eight guards that was blocking their path towards the safe.
Nathan hurries over to Harry to watch him open the safe as Sam closes the door and locks it, beginning to watch the halls.
Harry pulls out his phone and brings up a picture of the safe lock. Nathan frowns.
“How the hell did you get that so easily?” Nathan asked.
“This hasn’t been the first time this place been robbed, mate. It’s pretty disappointing, but it’s easy cash for guns, ammo, etcetera, etcetera.” Harry answered as he started typing in the pin for the safe.
Sam suddenly heard someone’s footsteps coming from the halls. He looks through the window on the door and saw two guards heading for the safe room.
“Shit.” He muttered before turning to the other men. “We got company!”
Harry had opened the safe while Nathan pulled out a folded duffle bag slid behind his belt. Once Nathan opened the bag, they both started stuffing in as much cash as they could.
Sam steps back from the door and aimed his taser towards it. The guards had made it to the door and began to knock. Sam taps on his ear piece two times.
“We’re going to need that distraction in five minutes.” Sam said into his ear piece.
“Got it. We’ll tell ya when we’re coming in.” Answered another voice other than Harry’s.
“We’re good to go here, Sam!” Nathan says as he zipped up the duffle bag while Harry shuts the safe closed.
“Great. Now, how the hell are we getting out of here?” Sam asked as they heard a few more knocks coming from the other side of the door.
“Drop your weapons and open the door, now!” Yelled one of the guards.
Harry smirks at Sam and points to his left. Nathan and Sam looked into that direction and found a window.
“We’re only one story up, so the jump won’t kill us.” Harry explained before taking the duffle bag from Nathan and hurried out the window.
“You have three seconds to open this door or we will come in by force!” Yelled the guard again before they started counting down.
Sam waved Nathan to go next and Nathan does as he says. The second Sam pushed his head out the window, the guards ran in and almost grabbed him as he pulled out his last long leg out from the building. He crashes into the bushes below, feeling the pain in his back. His brother grabbed his arm, helping him to his feet.
“We got to go, Sam!” Nathan says as he pulled at his arm.
“You just make sure Harry is safe in the car with the cash. I’m right behind ya!” Sam demanded, gently pushing him forward to make him catch up with Harry. Nathan does what he asked and ran for Harry.
Sam was running as fast as he could, feeling every stab in the back from his hard fall. He had made it to the car by the time Nathan jumped into the passenger’s seat. Sam hurried into the driver’s seat and quickly started the car, taking off onto the city’s roads.
“We have your backs! Just get back to territory!” Yelled the voice as Sam heard engines of a car driving down the street in his ear piece.
“How’s back up, Sam?” Harry asked as he checked their back.
“The guys got them distracted, we’re heading home without a problem.” Sam answered, grinning.
