maybe but maybe different things are triggering for different people that’s all i’m saying. i mean we wouldn’t all want to be put into the same category so i think they’d want the same courtesy. we’re all human beings even if they hate a ship we love

I get what you're saying, but triggering is not a term that means "this thing bothers me because I don't like it"...a trigger is when seeing/hearing/experiencing a thing brings on memories of past trauma that can be seriously damaging to your mental and/or physical health. Using it for a thing you just don't like is sort of ableist and I know some people just don't know better but it's just not the proper use of the word????

but i don’t think we have the right to decide what triggering does mean. i ship destiel, but i could see how the violent aspects of it could be triggering.
