N was no stranger to helping Pokemon who had been abused or mistreated by humans; heâd been helping them his whole life. So when the man was asked to take one of those Pokemon into his care there wasnât a moment's hesitation to go pick them up. Natural had to admit though, he never thought heâd be picking them up from a radio station.âI was told a Pokemon needed someone to look after them.â N spoke as he walked in. âWould they happen to be that female Pikachu there?â
With a soft sigh, DJ Ben puts his back against the door of his booth, hands on his hips, and he surveys the room carefully. She has to be in here somewhere⌠thereâs no way she got out. Poor Pikachu, she was just so skittish that the second he let her out of the Pokeball, she ran off out of fear. Although the Radio Tower didnât know what exactly had happened to the Pikachu when she was under the possession of her previous trainer, it obviously wasnât good. She needed someone with a lot of patience, someone who would understand her better than anyone else to get her to come out of that shell.
Here was hoping their latest winner would be the right choice for rehoming her. Ben didnât know much about this guy, but apparently he was great with these kinds of Pokemon, a real expert on rehabilitating mistreated Pokemon. Pikachu desperately needed a fellow like that. But the important thing now was finding Pikachu so he could hand the Electric-type off to this guy, N Harmonia. But sheâs nowhere in sight.
And so there the DJ is, on his hands and knees, looking around for Pikachu, till he finally spots here in the corner of the room underneath his desk. Ben doesnât get any closer to her. Nothing will be achieved by him trying to get her to come to him. Sheâs not his Pokemon and he doesnât want to stress her out any more than she already is being here. Besides, an Electric-type attacking in his sound booth? Now that would be bad news.
Ben nearly jumps out of his skin when he hears someone enter the booth. Pikachu whimpers but stays in her spot. As the DJ stands up, he puts on a smile for the man and greets him with a friendly, âHey! Thanks for coming. Iâ hang on.â Ben turns and recalls Pikachu to her Pokeball and hands it off.
âUsually we try to let you get some face time with your new Pokemon, but sheâs so scared, I donât think this is a good place to do it. You have a lot of work to do with her, but I heard youâre great with Pokemon, right? She came from a home hoarding Pokemon and⌠it took a toll on her. I wanna see her do well, so Iâm counting on you, okay? Please be good to her.â
One scared mouse for one kind friend.
