It was time to look for supplies.

Again.

It seemed that was the only thing to ever be on his mind: food, water, medicine and first aid. If he was ever low on them, he’d have to look around and search in buildings he hasn’t searched in yet. Sometimes he’s lucky, other times not so much. On the off chance he’s not lucky, that place has already been ransacked. Maybe it being looted wasn’t the right word to describe it. It was more like a first come, first serve basis. You take what you get. Or maybe there was something he could have used but it wasn’t able to be salvaged. Whatever the reason, he’d just have to continue his search and travel further into the cities he’d stop at to check. And check wisely.

Today felt as if it were one of those days where he wasn’t lucky. It didn’t faze him in the slightest, but he couldn’t say he was happy about it either. Traveling down this city wasn’t the safest idea according to his map, but what the hell. If he was cautious about it, it’ll be okay. It might reward him.

He spots the first grocery store he sees and mindlessly walks towards it. He didn’t seem to notice anything out of the ordinary— until a knife was pointed at his direction. Well if anything could break him from his trance, that certainly did the trick. He couldn't make out what the person looked like yet. It was still too dim to see, but he figured they didn't have trouble hearing.
