// Redaction as Resistance
(from “The System”) → into “Process Zine #00”
We talk about process like it’s just a method. A series of steps.
But what if it’s more like a refusal?
These two pages are torn straight from The System, then scarred, redacted, and repurposed. Not just for aesthetics — but because they name exactly what Process Zine exists to challenge:
“The System fears this.”
“It can’t optimise for serendipity.”
Optimisation smooths everything down. No contrast, no noise.
But without contrast? No signal. No attention. No awareness.
No you.
That’s what this project is pushing back against — the idea that creativity, attention, memory, meaning… should be frictionless. Seamless. Optimised. Forgettable.
This isn’t nostalgia.
It’s sabotage.
