16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?

Oh man, I'm sure I've used all sorts of things - gum wrappers, phone cords, receipts, photos. Not sure what would be the weirdest... maybe a sock? I know I've used clean laundry a time or two.

19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?

I've always told myself stories. Growing up, I would escape into fantasy worlds based on books or tv shows or movies that I loved. When I discovered fanfic on the internet, I never looked back. I started in scifi fandoms and moved into superhero fandoms and now I'm in my kpop phase. I don't know when this one will end or where I'll go next, but I know I'm not done telling stories yet.

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

It varies, depending on whether it's a slice of life fic or a high concept fic. Slice of life fics require nothing but vibes, honestly, whereas high concepts often force me to do research. That can mean watching movies in the genre, like I did for my cyberpunk fic got you (in my sights) or going down internet rabbit holes to learn everything I can about a topic like F1 as I did for Victory Lap. Do I enjoy doing research? Fuck no! But sometimes it's necessary to help me feel more confident about an idea.

33. Do you practice any other art besides writing? Does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate?

Music! I sing. I need to get back into singing regularly. I was in a women's choir for a few years, and then lock down hit, and everything switched to virtual performances. They were fine, but they could not replace the real thing, so I took a break. Lately, though, I've been itching to get back out there, if I can find the energy. I haven't really incorporated a lot of music in my fics - I don't really write idol au's so most of my characters aren't musicians (or at least, music isn't pivotal to the plots). Maybe I should do something about that. 🤔

this is such a good question. i think i'll come back to this vernon fic i wrote (can't run away) because i really loved writing it and it didn't get much of a response. which i also got because it was a more specific world and maybe wasn't for everyone!

9 ⧽. tell us about a wip/idea that you're excited about!

oh god i have several lmao. some i can't talk about yet tho because they're collabs that haven't been announced. so i think i will say i'm most excited for zeus!cheol to get released into the world. it's part of this amazing collab. and it's my first time writing another fic that exists in the same world as something i've already written. chan (from as wild and untamable as the sea) makes an appearance at the end and it's been interesting to consider them fitting into the same world. the couple in the cheol fic is also been hella fun to write.

I caught up with You Think You Might last night. I love everything about it and I don't normally read too many S.Coups fics. The way you wrote YN, the interactions with everyone, and just I love your writing style and how you weave your story. Plus I giggle everytime I read 'dumb and dumber', it made me smile.

Honestly, I had gotten terrible news on Saturday night, and your fic helped keep me distracted from thinking about it. It really helped. Thank you for writing it and I cant wait to read chapter 5.
