ooohhh myyyyy god. I needed this today. The Space Fighter (2022)Real life twins Micheal and Matt Striker (who have seemingly changed the spelling of their last name to Stryker, if comparing IMDB to the movie says anything). Basically its a 50 min fan movie to Kamen Rider which you can see on TUBI right now. Its simultaneously the best and worst thing you will see today and in a long time. I cant and wont really make fun of it as I cant do any better and infact I do some very similar shitty effect slash gags in my latest super turd BUT I will say the real fun of this movie is laughing at it. The free green screen effects , the house hold products for props even the free garage band music its all there , which may be more entertaining for me a home made movie maker but I figure if you're reading this you will get it. What makes it so enjoyable is how honest these two are and how much they dont care how cheesie and bad they are. TheY are just doing it, and doing it large, making their new super hero flick.  The weirdest shit is happening and every character is no selling it like its "eh whatever" (that kind of performance is so hilarious to me). It did fall into fan flick territory when the hero actually said the words Henshin and as a Tokusatsu fan i felt that was tad too on the nose. Ever home made trope and every Tokusatsu trope is played with by these two skinny brothers. The acting is hilarious especially by them but they are twins that grew up obviously on intervienous anime and made a movie with some friends in an office parking lot so I cant hold  them really accountable. BUT still, regardless stick with the 50 minutes because when it comes to the climax and our hero faces the final boss it all turns into one hilarious1987 Amiga video game and all bets are off, all logic is off and all fucks have been given as I laughed so hard I farted.  I don’t think the Stryker bros (who I cant find on social media probably because of the country band with the same name) wanted this to be funny (maybe a little) but it sure is funny. At one point though the hero says Eat Shit and Henshin so they had to know a little of how weird they are.  So even that the end reaction was not what they had planned I thank them for it.
