Oh, I think you're spinning inside my head I think of you all the day 'Cause you're in my way.
Oh, I think you're holding the heart of mine (my heart is yours) Squeeze it apart, that's fine.

I lovveee god of grief AU so much guys. Ough grief clicky my wonderful fluffy ball of misery
@sootnuki @gallusgalluss

i loved the game as a whole obviously but hobbyhoo stands out in my memory bc i'm a huge sucker for "we gotta put on (x type of stage performance) to SAVE THE TOWN"/"we're using (x type of stage performance) to work out irl feelings that most people would probably be able to work out separately but. well. we are not most people" plots.
anyways all this to say that it's insanely funny reading back old speculation that's like "huh, i wonder if maybe king/whoever's impersonating them is taking advantage of click clack being insecure about how much of his identity as a god is tied to thespius. maybe thespius' doting accidentally drove a further wedge between the two of them?" and then you boot up the full game and thespius is on his hands and knees like "CLICKY PLEASE JUST ONE CHANCE" and then you go talk to click clack and he's like "To prove that i am a Proper Gentleman i've completely edited out any and all romantic/sexual tension between our self-inserts lest the audiences scorn my beloved BESTIE. what's the hays code btw."
Thesclack drawing I did last week and haven’t shared yet…
You don't have to be good, but you had better be...
BIG AND LOUD!
Got really inspired by this post by @strawberrij and did some little screenshot redraws to keep my hands busy. This number from "Cats Don't Dance" has always been SUPER memorable to me and Clicky translates really well to Darla's poses, so this was really fun!

Amazing things are happening
wooden naga thespius because why the hell not, whatever
i was in the middle of writing a completely unrelated post when i remembered this, but with how common it is to poke fun at click clack for being dense as fuckkkk when it comes to thespius (because they are) i feel like it's easy to forget that thespius was so bad at confessing that he had to write a whole stage serial about it. like there's a reason he's the one who states the moral of the entire game at the end of the hobbyhoo chapter (i.e. "i guess when two people don't communicate things can get really out of hand" or something to that effect), that being that as whimsical as creating a series of plays to covertly confess your undying love to your creative partner is, it's not a replacement for talking one on one. and it's like finally sinking in for him!!! it takes two to tango and these fellas have been tangoing till they're sweaty and out of breath and red-faced and. hm. y'know. maybe i should stop this analogy here.
anyways my point is that lovestory is less "guy who is book smart but emotionally dense x Absolute Perfection in humanoid form" and more "guy who is book smart but emotionally dense x guy who is emotionally intelligent but conflict avoidant" and that's exactly why it's so fun to explore despite being a pretty straightforward canon ship.
