Seven days of thankfulness. I'm thankful for so much that God has done, this past 12 months, and seven days is not nearly enough to share it all. So in no particular order at all, this 7th day, I'm thankful just to have a heart and a mind to be thankful to God in all things. Not for all things. In this current religious climate with varying ideals of who, what, when, where "gods". Also, this political climate that has pushed and pulled many to choose one thing out of many then says be hateful to the rest. And in this time, when everybody thinks they are the only one's right, everybody wants rights, every day there's some new "should have rights", and nobody is seeking nor caring about what's right. I'm just thankful for the heart and mind that's still thankful to God in all things. Birthright- stolen Children - grown, living of this world, in this world Friends - faithful few Employ- Doing what I love to do. Health- Challenged, yet I'm still healed Family- Zoome time is priceless. FaceTime is priceless. GOD, IS STILL GOD! He's still my healer. Still my comfort and my peace. Still my keeper. Still the love of my life. Still says I'm worthy. Still never leaving nor forsaking me. Still loves me. Still worthy of my THANKSGIVING. It's not about the day nor the food for me. December 31st, 2020 New Years Eve!!! Thank you God, we made it. One of my favorite parts of church and home is communion. It's also my favorite part of New Years celebrations at our church. With 2020 being as it was, it's comforting to know that "by His stripes we are healed". As we partake of communion this New Year's we are expecting wholeness. I don't know what you've endured but I know His blood heals. I don't know what your traditions are but make communion part of that. It's December 30th, 2020 We've almost arrived. Yay! I just realized how liberating this verse really is. We are not expected to come to God having it all together. We try to cross all the t?s and dot all the I,s thinking somehow it'll make us greater in the kingdom. We have a pass and most of us won't even take it.
