I’ve always wanted to learn about my ancestor, but she’s like, my grandfather’s great great grandmother and I always felt like that’s just to far back for me to have any right to say I’m part native, even though I know her tribe name, I’m pretty sure my mother or grandmother know her name, and she’s so interesting as she’s a chief’s daughter. And I wanna know more about the tribe but being so far back makes me feel like I have no right
Learn if you’re able then. It does sound like you’re romanticizing a bit which isn’t great, so you might want to re-examine why you actually want to learn about this part of your heritage.
