Okay, that doesn’t sound like such a great idea. But whatever. Let us dive right in.

Hello, my name is Lauren. I am in my early twenties, current living in a permanently warm part of the U.S., with my two true loves in my life. Vague enough?

This blog is for one purpose, and one purpose only: I want to talk. I want to talk about things that I love openly, somewhere where I don’t fear saying what others will think.

In the past few years, I have grown to realize that we, as people, tend to talk about things that we hate a lot more often than things that we love. Why is this? We relate to each other through mutual hatred, grasping for a shred of un-embarrassed kinship where we can pretend that we have something in common with people that we don’t even know.

It is difficult to admit that we like something, I think. You fear that someone will judge you a lot harder for loving than for hating. And it is tough to put yourself out there! It is painful to not be received by someone you want to get to know. Heck, it is painful to be rejected by someone you don’t want to know! I have felt this struggle for years, and I am giving up on hiding.

This is my unashamed place. Here, I will ramble, love, curse, exude vibrance, vomit rainbows, and otherwise let my inner, more outgoing self shine (the punk within me…get it?).
