This blue Victorian gown, accented with silk flowers and black lace, was created for the 1994 miniseries 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒕, where Joanne Whalley wore it as Scarlett O’Hara. It was worn a second time in the 2002 miniseries 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒚𝒕𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒈𝒂 by Amanda Root as Winifred Dartie. Finally, it made a third, very brief appearance in the 2005 film 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂, where it was worn by an extra. This gown was a part of the excellent “Costume in Film” exhibition, which toured the United States from 2005-2007. The exhibit was put on by the costume house @cosproplondonuk and featured famous movie costumes from all eras.
