Hello! I'm thinking about starting a new guild, and I've been looking around doing my research on it. Any advice?
Always keep in mind that guilds are part of premium/VIP service! Losing VIP won’t make your guild disappear, but you won’t be able to recruit or upgrade your guild unless you have VIP!
You need a party of five to form a guild, the mod recommends forming it with friends rather than random people!
Speaking of random people, don’t go throwing around random invitations to people without saying anything! Talk to the people you want to recruit, make them feel like a real contribution to the guild instead of just a number!
Don’t put your guild stone in the middle of nowhere if you want people to apply! Put it where people will see it, like Dunbarton or Tir Chonaill!
Don’t be afraid to set standards or application rules for your guild in accordance with the type of people you want coming in!
Lastly, but most importantly, be a just and understanding leader! I’ve seen leader bias ruin a lot of good guilds! If guild drama comes knocking, try to see it from both sides! And if your guildies come to you with concerns about the guild or other guild mates, listen to them and take what they say into consideration! You’re the leader, yes, but the people you let in along with your actions can make or break a guild!
