Shhh I like DaveKat too. Well sort of. I don't really see a lot of it. How/why do you ship it?
ngl, it's really just a personality thing. I like their interactions and the way their unique brands of snark bounce off of one another. The idea of their mutual soft underbellies kind of appeals to me, too--they're just pretty versatile, so I can see them as red or black, since Dave really strikes me as the only Beta kid who could do a full-out kismesitude. Maybe Rose, but I can't really see anyone she'd be in spades with. In any event, I just think Dave and Karkat would have a very charged dynamic, and what little fic they have is pretty awesome. I'd definitely recommend "Maximum" on the kinkmeme--I have a few minor gripes with Karkat's characterization, but it's some smoking hot smut that I think does a good job exemplifying what the overall DaveKat dynamic would be like.
