I'm sure this has been expressed before but, I have never in my life been interested in getting married. HOWEVER!! Boy oh boy, I love hearing women say, "my wife." Instant smile and tears. She has a wife! I could have a wife! Pretty cool.
On all levels except physical I am an orange tabby cat walking through the woods on a warm, not hot, just warm, day with a nice cool breeze. The smell of flowers and last nights rain in the air. I find a small spot where the sun directly shines through the foliage. Itâs perfect for a nice sun bath. Life is good.

I have gone full snake mode... As in... I learned I share a special ability with snakes.
Boil egg
Peel egg
Realize Iâm going to run late to appointment and still need to brush my teeth
Hastily put whole egg in mouth
Fucking Snake Brain Activate
Swallow entire egg whole, no chewing
Question what I just did
Brush teeth, leave.
so, uhm, iâm really into fae, and I wanted to thank you for mentioning bluecaps, as iâd never heard of them. I thought they were like redcaps, but theyâre like the complete opposite! anyway, whatâs your favorite fae?
I would like to preface with, sorry for the long answer. I got hit with nostalgia thinking about this and I wanted to be detailed, so I also had to ask my mom some things (she knows more than me lol). Anyways hereâs a ridiculously long answer.
This is an interesting question that honestly just made me think of childhood. Aesthetically, I love the idea of fae, however I do have some mixed feelings about fae in general so this is a bit tricky to answer.
For context, you get a quick story. My great grandmother is an Irish immigrant. She came to America in her early preteens. Now in that time, not many people truly "believed" in any sort of faerie. When I was younger though, she would often tell me stories "fairytales" if you will, (yes that did make me laugh).
Now, a quick geographical/grammar lesson. Not everyone knows this but, Fae and Fairy are different. (I personally donât even separate the 2 on my own page due to westernization) I had a hard time putting this in my own words so hereâs something straight from google that says it way better than I did, "Fairy" is a word that has been derived from Latin word "fatum," which can mean "fate." Fairies are seen as pure spirits, kind and good.â
Faeries on the other hand, we know comes from European descent also however Iâd also like to state that there is no definitive proof where "fae" originate (thereâs stories of them all over the world), though many speculate it is Ireland. Iâve personally heard the story that the fae are actually Tuatha de Danann, one of the first tribes that showed up in Ireland. However, Iâm not sure if this means a literal tribe of people who became fae or if they were already like that when they got there. I never got any specification. I could look it up but.... honestly just not feeling it right now (sorry, feel free to research yourself if youâd like.)
Faeries are different from fairies because... fae are evil and mischievous. My great grandmother warned me as a child: Never interact with the fae unless forced, never give them your true identity, donât let them take you to a second location, never step into a faerie ring, NEVER EVER destroy a faerie ring, if you anger them be sure to give them the correct offerings for peace.
So now for my answer: My favourite fae, is strangely enough, the banshee. Not everyone considers this to be a fae but a lot of us do. Itâs said if you hear her screams in the night, you or someone close to you will soon die. Now, I donât inherently see this as evil, I like to think of it as a warning, but yeah. Thatâs it. Thatâs my favourite (evil) fae.
My favourite fairy though: This takes a bit explaining, So this fairy is from Scotland (so Celtic) but is actually good. So I personally consider it to be a fairy. Itâs called a "Brownie." They come in at night and helped women (because as most us know, only women used to do house chores) clean the house. Which I think, is very polite of them. They choose a nice family and just do chores at night. Thatâs pretty cool to me. Though, they will leave and never come back if disrespected.
Sorry for the super long answer, I just really wanted to get this all in. I had a lot more written but I figured this post would be too long then. Thanks for the question though :)
