Actually the theme of the album that i haven’t seen anyone really bring up is losing yourself in a relationship(s) and the storm of your life.

There are so many little points on this album that speak to the feeling of losing yourself again and being frustrated with that. I feel like the album is about Taylor herself more than the fraught relationships she’s writing about which is why the songs hardly have one solid muse. She’s dizzy and lost and confused and everything is swirling and blending together. That’s why there’s so much rage screaming throughout even the saddest songs. She’s pointing fingers but everyone’s faces merge into one. It really does feel manic and panicky.

I mean look at her! A record breaking tour? Each performance lasting over 3 hours??? She’s using her weekend off to film??? She’s a LEGEND. She’s only 2 years older than me and I’m exhausted just thinking about her schedule. She’s my fucking hero.

Then as she LITERALLY WALKS TOWARDS THE LIGHT

So he’s not only demonizing her (“oh my god she’s insane”) but he’s haunted by murdering her. But the best part in at the very end, he looks down to find that he hurt himself too. He will always be stained and the LOVE AFFAIR MAIMED HIM TOO
