the bad: Okay Pete’s not usually an asshole but the time he swapped all my ink out with bubotuber pus was pretty fucking awful. 

the good: What’s not good about Pete, honestly. But yeah, I guess the best one was the time I missed Hogsmeade because of the full moon and he brought me back a bloody armload of candy. It was before we had the map and everything.

Potions:

the bad: Merlin, every fucking day. But, like, yeah, alright, I’ll humor you. The worst one the day we talked about how dittany can be used to create a potion to stop a werewolf bite from taking and Jugson spent twenty minutes doing a werewolf impression by sniffing his own arse and pretending to piss on Slughorn’s shoes.

Do you agree with fandom interpretation of your character?

I think there are so many fandom interpretations of Remus that it’s hard to give a straight answer, but mostly I’d say no. He’s certainly not the mother hen of the Marauders, the stick-in-the-mud of the group; most people don’t see him as having much of a sense of humor at all which I think we know isn’t true by virtue of the fact that he was friends with James and Sirius.

Also I have never understood the fandom thing that Remus is obsessed with chocolate?? He used chocolate for the dementor attacks because it’s a natural anti-depressant, not because it’s his favorite food in the entire world, and it’s always been weird to me that it was a tiny little thing the fandom latched onto and blew up into some all-consuming Remus-only-eats-chocolate obsession.  

What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse?

I mean, we all know Remus and Sirius were in love and were just too afraid to come out to J K Rowling, yeah?

Has your own interpretation changed from when you first began playing the character?

I mean, I started playing Remus when I was, like, 13 or 14? So I’d say it would be weird if my interpretation of Remus hadn’t changed in the last 9 years. But the main thing is that my Remus is a lot less sad now. He used to be pretty mopey all the time and now I like to think he’s a lot less miserable.

Any part of their canon portrayal you dislike?

Remus’ marriage to Tonks has always annoyed me, ever since I first picked up the 6th book. Remus’ sexuality is super important to me, and while I’ve always headcanoned Remus as bisexual, his relationship with Tonks just felt so rushed and like, okay shit I have to make another war orphan, who can have a baby real quick??

It was a stupid idea. Why would Mary want to talk to her? She was at work, she’d be busy, and she was probably just being polite when they spoke the other day. She was sure Mary wasn’t looking for Imogen to come bothering her at work to talk about all her problems. It had been a stupid idea.

But she’d walked all the way over here, and she didn’t have anything better to do. It was worth a shot, right? The worst that could happen was that Mary would say she was busy, Imogen would leave, and they’d pretend it had never happened. So she took a deep breath and stepped into the store.
