due to the year that he was born ( 1950 ), i realized that ji-su probably knows some japanese. the japanese occupation of south korea ended in 1945, meaning that ji-su was part of the first generation born out from under that rule. he likely grew up hearing horrific stories and learning bits and pieces of japanese from his older neighbors who had to suffer through the occupation. it also means that as a saja, he's going to be the least enthused about having anything to do with japan ( even though it's required ).

this follows their timeline as a pop group and does not include their time in t.ownsville or as superheroes / crime fighters. that timeline will come later. the girls are currently 24 / 25 years old in their main verse.
age 11: a combination of burn out, the people of t.ownsville getting tired of the constant destruction that the girls left in their wake, a stronger and stronger outcry of "WHY ARE THOSE SMALL CHILDREN FIGHTING CRIME?!", and just locking away their main enemies led the girls into seeking something new. bubbles made the joke that they should form a girl group and things began falling into place from there.
age 13: the girls got signed to a record label, much to their surprise. suddenly the joke didn't seem as much of a joke anymore.
age 14: their debut album, simply titledΒ πππ ππππππππ π πππππ is released. most of it is unremarkable. just the typical marketable radio slop pop. however, one single stands out as a shining diamond. it's a song called "sugar, spice, nice." it was the one song that the girls had had creative control over. it charts globally and the girls are suddenly very, very famous.
age 16: they come out with their second album. this album does slightly better overall because the girls had a bit more control over more aspects of the creative process.Β
age 17: they have a very public falling out with their record label over creative control disagreements. this results in the girls forming their own record label.
age 18: they release their third album and it's their best album so far. it's extremely different than their previous two albums and it's very, very clear that they had full control. it's very experimental in a lot of ways, especially considering that each of the girls had a certain number of songs that they took creative lead on. it's very clear which girl had control over which songs because the sound differs so much. however, the album was still surprisingly cohesive.Β
age 20: they come out with their fourth album and this one is even better. the sound is more solid and it's clear that they're very much coming into their own creatively.
age 22: after a small hiatus, they come out with their fifth album. this is blossom's album as she sang lead and wrote the songs. it was very pop folk and very much fit with blossom's individual vibe.
age 23: they release their sixth album and it's very clearly buttercup's album. the sound is very pop punk and their fans absolutely ate it up.
age 24: they're gearing up not just for their largest tour yet, but also for bubbles's album. her album is going to be very pop and heavily inspired by a combination of 80s and 90s pop and k-pop intertwined with deep emotional ballads. it's very much a dance and party album.Β
