Theme Thirteen: Empty Rooms

There are two versions of this theme, and they are pretty much the same except for slight differences in the posts’ notes/tags as well as the positioning of the title.description/links

Version One (download | static preview) has four links, plus the title is a home link.

Version Two (download | static preview) has six links and a title is a home link.

This theme was a tough one for me because I have some pretty sad childhood memories that my brain immediately went to when I was trying to think of a direction to go in. However, I defeated those sad thoughts and remembered one of my very first crushes instead. Her name was Ashley. We'd play together a lot at recess with a couple of other kids in our grade. I thought she was so pretty.

I have tons of early memories, but one that sticks out (probably because it hurt so bad) was when I stepped on a cactus. I was living in Clearwater Beach on the inner-coastal side when I was about 7, when my friends and I were taking a walk. One of my friends didn't have shoes on and her feet were hurting, so I gave her mine. Literally a couple minutes later when I was not paying attention, I step on a round cactus ball thing that was in this giant pile of cacti siting on the side of the road. Like it was cactus trash day or something~ It really hurt. The moral of the story is: being a generous friend makes you step on cacti. Or maybe that you should just wear shoes around cacti? Idk, I don't think I actually learned a lesson. :P

This month's theme is memories!

I thought that it would be interesting to draw a memory from our childhood because memory in and of itself is interesting, like the way that we can encode, store, and retrieve memories from even the deepest, darkest parts of our minds - not that they have to be deep and dark but hey, let's talk about the time that you got diarrhea in Barnes & Noble.
