But like... Malisaac is so important to me for a lot of different reasons and I really wish that it could be explored on the show. But I'm just going to list the reasons:
Their personalities are similar, but different enough to not make them clones of each other.
They've both dealt with loss, Malia from her adopted mom and sister and Isaac from... well, a whole list of people, really: his mom, Boyd, Erica, Allison, and even his dad. They both know what it's like to lose someone they care about in some way.
They both feel guilt over it. Malia's shown to be tortured over what she said to her family before they died, and if Isaac doesn't feel some guilt over Boyd, Erica, or Allison, you're lying. Because they were his pack and Allison died saving him.
But beyond that, they're both strong, loyal people and can get through this, but I think they could help each other get through the pain because they get it. And while one may be a little farther in the healing process, though debatable, they're there.
And I mean, Isaac helping Malia helping Malia catch up on things she's missed and Malia coming to lacrosse games to cheer Isaac (and Scott, Kira, and Stiles) on.
Them being each other's anchors and when it's a really bad night, they'd just hold each other.
Them starting off as a physical relationship but one of them starting to feel more (but not pushing it) and then the other one too.
Isaac and Malia going bowling because she never got to. Isaac and Malia staying out until one thirty in the morning to break curfew. Isaac meeting Mr. Tate and it's awkward and uncomfortable but Mr. Tate won't say anything because he's happy his daughter's returning, so he gruffly looks at Isaac and walks to the living room.
Isaac being there for Malia when she finds out about Peter and wanting to protect her. Malia going with Isaac to visit Boyd's grave. Erica's. Allison's.
Isaac and Malia finally having someone in their corner.
Not that that means they wouldn't call each other on the BS that they might sometimes give, but it's a genuine care/love for each other.
Just... just Isaac and Malia.
