Ryan looked twice before crossing the street to the Italian dining place he'd given Gavin the address to. Not because of a childhood habit, not because he was actually scared of not seeing a car- he was just jumpy. The last thing he wanted was a tail, especially tonight.

He pushed open the door to the restaurant to be greeted with warm, soothing colors, the smell of garlic bread and pasta, and the sight of a familiar face already waiting for him at the table Ryan had reserved. Shit. Gavin had beaten him here, something Ryan would never hear the end of. Well, at least he was distracted by the breadsticks. Ryan just nods at the waitress and she lets him through. It's not hard to get to the table, and Ryan promptly sits down, choosing to slide into the booth directly next to Gavin rather than sitting across from him.
