Dear Future Me,

If you’re just as much of an asshole as I am now, well then we went right somewhere.  Keep your head better why don’t you?  I bet by now more people have died, you think its different than before, I’ve seen it in older guys.

You think this time’s different right?  Wrong.

Every loved one you’ve lost is all your fault until peace is found.  Nothing’s changed?  Then change it!  You still hate everything that you’ve done?  Stop being such a wimp!  You’re the future of my own training, so you better have improved.

If you’re some loser, I’ll kick your ass.  -My own ass- whatever.  Remember the past, important things happened here that were to teach us things.  Pain and loss and terrible treachery is possible even from the people you love and don’t you dare forget that.  

Lasting peace might just be two kid’s stupid dream, but I know we’re in charge by now, it’s your job to make sure to at the LEAST the clan is safe.  If you’re starting to think about breaking down and telling Izuna who really killed our brothers, then you need to think harder about why we didn’t tell him in the first place.

“You’re soooo scary when mad.” He laughs, rolling his eyes as well

“A walk is good.” That means more time to talk though… he was hoping that taking her out for a treat would mean less talking but hopefully she’ll develop a sweet tooth or a thirst to shorten the walk. 

He noticed the build up of the salty liquid in her eyes and hardly felt any guilt for being the reason she was tearing up.. But if she teared up, he’d lose the beat and it hasn’t even been a week.. And Sasuke really needs the extra money to get himself some new clothes or manga to read. “I’m not scared, this is a normal event for me.” He nodded back to her group of friends. “Go put your stuff away and then we can leave.”

Smiling happily at him she only nodded, not knowing exactly what to say. She was happy, her crush for god knows how long had asked her. Blinking the tears away she nodded again, determined. She’d never skipped before, never had the want or need.
