How was it? I can't judge any of the poetry slams by me because I know the poets too well haha. But I love going and just listening.
it was fun actually because it made me think a bit more critically about each poet's execution, their performance, and originality. and of course i had to be unbiased,which was easy because i didn't know any of the poets. though at the same time it was kind of hard because the audience was trying to influence the judges. but it was worth it in the end, because the guy who was in first place was very happy because he won a hundred dollars, and he said he could finally afford food though i was sure if i heard correctly because the room was pretty loud by then. but all the same, it touched my heart.
