🇺🇸~Guess who’s travelling to Greece?! THE LAST TOUCH (haha)... for its premiere on the big screen in the city of Alexandroupolis, at AXD Short Film Festival taking place in person. I’m very honored to be in “touch” with the country that originated dramaturgy, mythology, legends and characters that have been inspiring me since my childhood (Antigone, Electra...); the fundamental roots to our language (I did study in middle and high school!!) and the etymology of my name Melissa :)... (@miamiscifi) for Best Socially Distant Production Runner Up for THE LAST TOUCH! Warm thanks to the festival, Troy and his team. And the runner-up is... 🇺🇸~I am so blessed and honored to announce that The Last Touch won Best Social Distanced Production Runner Up at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival 2021! (@miamiscifi) The irony is that I wrote and shot this movie in 2018, not knowing how prescient it would become. I felt already rewarded to be part of an official selection, knowing that the festival received thousands of submissions. So the fact that a festival focused on #scififilms established for 8 years, noticed and honored my short film in the middle of such an inspiring and high quality line up of 150 films from all over the world makes me feel so humbled and moved (yes I shed some tears at the award ceremony as …you may see in the picture 🤪).
