Éowyn was happy to see her uncle being his old self again: healed from Gríma Wormtongue’s poisons. He regained back his strength and most importantly, his hope. He was healed by Gandalf the White, a wizard, who came to Edoras with a Man, a Dwarf and two Elves: a man and a woman. Éowyn was curiously watching them, wondering where they were coming from as she had not seen such a company before. As far as she was concerned, Elves and Dwarves were not really in friendly terms (she did not know much about them, though), yet the Dwarf seemed to enjoy the Elves’ company. Her gaze shifted to the Elf woman and the Lady of Rohan noticed that she was armoured which made her curiosity grow.

However, she could not talk to her until the evening, as she was helping with the preparations of the dinner for their guests. Later, when she returned to the Golden Hall, she noticed the other woman sitting by the fire, on her own.

“Do you mind if I join you?” she asked her.
