I wanna try “y/n slander”
(TW there will be some cursing)
It's early in the morning when open my tired eyes, stretching my body to the fullest. As I get up I remember that the break is over and school is starting today. I groan realizing that all the people that I dislike are going to be there. Especially Christina, no offence to anyone else named that too, she just grinds my gears. after my morning routine I sling my dirty, blond hair into a messy bun and decide to dress in my favorite casual outfit. I would put in my contacts but I really don’t feel like poking my eyes out.
I head downstairs and my grandma cooking up some classic bacon and eggs. She's not my grandma by blood considering she's Korean-African/American and that she was my parent's neighbor, she took me in after I was orphaned. My mother died during childbirth because her body was weak and could barely hold me in the womb. Her picture is on the mirror in my room. I've never seen my father considering he never married my mother and moved back to where he lived when my mother told him she was pregnant. Grandma doesn't like talking about him, says he's a bastard. I have no issues about not knowing who he is though.

Walking in to the school building I noticed everyone looks excited to be here, back with friends who they didn't see over the break and getting ready to show off new outfits. I head over to my locker to drop off my school junk, man this is a lot of st-
" HEY WYEN!!"
"CHEEZITS CHRIST!!!"
My locker buddy since sophomore year and one of my good friends, the cool, the popular, the most handomest guy in the school: Grayson King. "D-dude why ya g-g-go-got to go and d-d-do th-that for?"
"Oof sorry Wyen, didn't mean to make you go robot mode." he chuckles and I pout.
"M-m-mmannn, you kn-kno-know it only hap-happens when I-I-I'm s-s-sur-surprised." I give him a half-hearted glare while he just smile all innocent like. "My speech dis-disorder is no lau-laughing matter Gray."
"Again sorry Wyen, didn't mean to spook you", he giggles, "I was just excited after not seeing you in so long. By the way, nice outfit."
I blush slightly from the compliment, "I've had this sss-si-since last year do-doofus, and we tex-texted nearly all sum-summ-mer."
"OH MY G, he's soooo right Wyen it looks soo good, where did you get it? Walmart's discount section or Goodwill?"
Eugh I'd know that voice anywhere considering we've spent most of our middle school and high school experiences together. That basic mean girl twat Christina and her sides, Avery and Pallas stride up to the both of us. Avery's bad but not as bad as Christina and Pallas is real sweet, just got in with the wrong crowd at a tender age.
I look down a bit embarrassed considering I did indeed get these at goodwill, what can I say 'Another person's trash is another person's treasure'.
Grayson retaliates, "C'mon Christina, leave them alone, no one complains when all they can on your face is the plastic from the work you had done."
Me and her entourage sputter, choke, wide-eyed, and have our jaws to the floor. I thought they were dating, what happened??? I look over to Christina to see her reaction and boy does she look pissed. She's red faced and I think I can see steam coming from her ears. Christina storms off with Avery and Pallas running after her to keep up. Coming back from my inner thoughts the crowd I didn't even realize form disperses with other students still talking about what happened.
I look up to see Grayson looking off towards the direction went in, his face pulled a bit taught. I can't help but notice that he looks upset, his eyes a little glassy. Before I can even ask what's wrong the bell rings and he walks to class.

While everyone is in groups chattering about their summer and what plans they have for the new year, I'm doodling in my journal since the teacher still hasn't arrived. I wonder what's taking miss Liebert so long?
And right as I finish that thought she walks in with her cherry red kitten heels and a matching themed cherry patterned dress and earrings. Her tanned skin and dark hair with highlights simply makes her more beautiful. I used to have a crush on her and confessed but she told me she we couldn't since we have a student/teacher relationship. I totally understand but I'm still wondering why she's still single.
"Okay now class before we start, I know every one is excited to be back with familiar faces and best friends, but lets give a warm welcome to someone who just moved here and is a little nervous about being in a new place."
She turns towards the door and gestures with her hand for someone to come in, and come in they do. Tall with broad shoulders and wearing dark clothes with a burgundy red jacket. Muscles that show through his low v-neck shirt, that barely even fits. Dark tanned skin with even darker hair that just makes his bright green eyes pop out even more. His piercings are all over his ears, and is that a tattoo I can see peeking from his shirt?
He stares intimidatingly at the rest of us in desks, his gaze burning through us. I can't help but think it makes him look even better.
"Now don't be shy, introduce yourself sweetheart!" Miss Liebert speaks ecstatically.
He looks down and quietly begins to speak.
"It's nice to meet you all, Concord Argyris, I hope we can get along."
I notice he's eyeing me and get nervous, but then remember that I have an empty desk beside me. I get flustered because he still hasn't looked away.
"Well now, I see you've found your seat for the rest of the semester Mr. Argyris," Miss Liebert chuckles and nudges him to the desk, "Go on take a seat now so we can start."
He sits to my left by the window and I can't help but think he might be an anime protagonist and-Oh my lord is he staring at me!
I take some glances and I notice that he's doing the same. Why is he staring at me?? It's making me self conscious!!
He subtly points at my desk and I look down to pin point exactly what he's pointing at. My doodle or pencil?? I give him a confused look and mouth "which one?"
He replies "both", so I hand him an extra pencil and move my sketch closer to him so he can see. He marks right next to the doodle, a "10/10" is now next to the cow with fairy wings. I look up and he gives me a thumbs up. I blush and return my focus to the front of the class.
I think, "Well this is going to be an interesting year. . ."
AAAANNNNDDD I'm done. Woow that's a lot. Okay uh, I'll just deposit this here and leave. . .
