a western drama movie called THE KEEPING ROOM. It is about 3 Southern women, 2 Sisters and there slave during the Civil War, trying to survive and defend there home, without men it is slow and not a lot of dialogue, it takes its time telling the story. I look at it as a feminist, girl power movie, because you don't see that a lot in western movies, mostly, were the cowboy saves the girl and shoots the bad guys and they ride off into the sunset, this was really different. a rare gem. I really liked it.

The Keeping Room vertelt het verhaal van twee zussen en een zwarte slavin die in de laatste dagen van de Amerikaanse burgeroorlog hun huis moeten verdedigen tegen twee gedeserteerde soldaten van ‘the union army’, soldaten die vochten om de slavernij af te schaffen.

Dit is de tweede langspeelfilm van regisseur Daniel Barber, die eerder ook Harry Brown met Michael Caine regisseerde.
