Just as the pair had sat down and were about to enjoy their breakfast, it seemed like the universe decided to intervene. Her phone started ringing, the tone she knew as work calling. Something must have been wrong for them to be calling her on her day off. “I’m sorry.” Sigyn muttered getting up to answer the call. Switching into work mode as she listen to what the director had to say and agreeing to be there as quick as she could.
Having already stepped away, she quickly changed out of his clothes and back into her own. Leaving the sweatpants and hoodie on the bed for him. She ran back to the kitchen where she had left Chase, her heart breaking inside that this was how she was leaving him for what would probably be the last time. Maybe this was a good thing, maybe this would finally be the way to put an end to everything they had been doing. Things could just stopped, and they wouldn’t have to have the conversation she had been dreading. Or worse, risk truly getting her heart broken.
“I have to go, there’s a work...thing.” Doing her best to avoid the details. After all, she had never told him what she did. “Thank you for breakfast...” The last word trailing off as she looked at her untouched plate. “And thank you, for last night.” Hesitating just a moment she took one last good look at Chase before heading towards the door. Cursing out work for needing her, but thanking work for saving her from making a worse mistake. .......................................................................
There had been an attack, one SHIELD had to go in and solve. Civilians, agents, medics, everyone had been called in. It didn’t take long before entire blocks of the city had been put on lock down or taken over by the organization as they worked towards neutralizing the threat and taking care of those that had been injured. Sigyn was doing everything she could to help lockdown the city, taking out enemies as needed. But as the count of injured continued to increase she was switched to rescue. Finding anyone that needed help and getting them somewhere safe. She had just gone back out for another sweep when things seemed to go south again. Today just really isn’t my day. Pressing the device in her ear as she grabbed her gun. “Hey guys, I’m going to need some back up on 4th and Coving-”
Arm wrapped around another agent’s shoulders, Sigyn kept her hand pressed tight to her side. “Where is Ovstrovsky? I need him NOW” The brunette yelled as she made her way inside the medic tent, wincing at the pain it caused her. Considering her genetics she knew she could count on him to work quick, and know what he was doing. She didn’t have the time to brief a new doctor on her medical history. Looking around frantically trying to find the familiar face she was seemingly struggling to find.
