Today was a lazy day. Neither of them had school or work or any other responsibilities, other than providing company for the other. They had played movie after movie, not really paying attention to the flicks and going in and out of consciousness in each others arms. Currently they were awake, for however long that would last they didn’t know, debating on if they should get up and make food. Rezeve had his eyes closed and was almost asleep, just responding with a, ‘mhm,’ to the things Dahlia whispered. His hand was brushing through her hair gently and absentmindedly, just increasing his drowsiness tenfold as he nuzzled his nose under her chin- the girl’s warmth enveloping him oh so lovingly. Through the fogginess of his sleepy mind he heard those three soft words, and they didn’t click at first. 

“ Mhm.. “

Then they clicked, causing Rez to wake up and sit up slightly- the look of regret and apology plastering itself on his face.

“ Oh my god, I didn’t mean– I was half asleep, I love you too, I didn’t mean to go, ‘mhm,’ Dahlia. I love you so much- “

He sputtered, proceeding to pepper her face and kips with, ‘I’m sorry,’ kisses in hopes she wouldn’t be mad.

“ That sounds wonderful, do you need any help with anything? I can pick the movie if you’d like, darlin’. “

The woman offered, rocking back and forth on her feet. 

A confused look etched itself onto his face at her sudden rush of frustrated words, looking up just in time for her to reach over and fix his hair. He couldn’t help but laugh, letting her do her thing as he set down his pencil. LaVerne had been working on a tattoo design and hadn’t really realized how much of a mess he looked, he was too, ‘in the zone,’ to care- till Ash pointed it out. He adored these little tendencies of hers, it helped him realized how unorganized he could appear to those around him.

“ Y’know, these long, luscious locks are just so hard to tame- “

He stated dramatically, laughing again as she started to pull away- which he interrupted by grabbing one of her hand and using the other to pull her into his lap. The man brought the hand he help up and pressed a kiss to her knuckles, before smiling at her and resting their hands in her lap- rubbing his thumb over said knuckles.

“ Thank you for keeping my tidy, Ash. I appreciate you. “

To say he was caught off guard and that he should be used to this kind of behavior would be an understatement, this behavior should be second nature to him but he was still perturbed. He watched Ash push chairs and a coffee table away, making a space that was already big enough bigger. 

‘ What kind of dancing are you suggesting, Ashley? ‘

Sweet questioned, standing and raising a brow as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He didn’t understand where this suggestion came from honestly- they were silently enjoying each other’s presence via reading or working on designs, in Ash’s case, and suddenly she wanted to dance?

‘ I prefer slow dancing, if I have any say in this matter. ‘

If a classic symphony wasn’t the best music to his ears, those three words were. Growing up he was taught that earning trust was important to personal gain, so those three words were the equivalent to a sane person’s, ‘I love you.’ He leaned on his palm that was propped on the table that divided them, looking to the girl with his evil charming smirk feigning a swooned look in his eyes. 

‘ Well, Violet- ‘

He questions, removing his palm from under his chin as his tall frame leaned a bit closer. Already a million different ways to use her trust to his advantage were swirling in his head, causing a small laugh to leave him that could easily be mistaken for a, ‘aw shucks,’ kind of laugh.

‘ I feel absolutely honored to have your trust, love. ‘

Stinger: *glances at Blue & Panther*

Panther: *mouths "not guilty"*
