for the last two months, emmas life had been... a lot to say the least. she had to navigate life again, get used to how things had changed since she was gone and figure out a way to get by in this world. to stay hidden from the amazons and while part of her wanted to know her dad, she was also terrified of his brother sam after her killed her. in the back of her mind she would search for him in any town they were in but mostly on keeping herself hidden. but all the while she had a nagging in her head, why was she here? what purpose did her being alive again serve? something she thought about every night in a cheap motel room and every morning she woke up. truthfully, emma wasn’t sure what brought her back or the details behind it. all she knew? she needed to stay dead, or at least in the minds of the amazons. getting a job that tracked her in the system wasn’t an option so she settled for floating through towns, playing poker, stealing money and making a living that way. the amazon just finished a game of pool, having hustled the man she was playing and with a sly grin she slipped the 100 dollar bill into the back pocket of her jean - thankfully sexist assholes still existed, it funded a lot of her money. with a nearly empty bottle the brunette waltzed to the bar, leaning against the counter. “i’m empty.” she pouted. “can you get me another?” emma asked as her emerald hues landed on the man standing behind the bar, he was handsome, but she was more concerned with how she could swindle more money.
