bc  X-1317 [07:54]’s original Morty is very much alive and well, but hes not allowed near that Morty (or like anyone in the family, ever) bc he did something to lose their trust (probably something shitty like accidentally knocking  X-1317 [07:54]’s Morty off a cliff or something equally unforgivable)

so he basically decided “eh” and hopped over to a different but extremely similar iteration of Theind (specifically  X-1317 [07:56] ) and. im not sure. after that idk how he ended up with Resident Morty.

but! the way they discussed it seemed so. idk. shortsighted? like what defines a Rick? someone it would be dna / genetic, but its not since they even mentioned the hammer Morty, the fish-people Rick and Morty, etc. so its not genetic. it probably has more to do with name and identity more than anything else (which would make things a LOT more open, since there are more Ricks than just shown in the citadel) and also because it just being genetics doesnt make sense. its probably tied with identity and when they were born

but having it be a more “i identify as a Rick because i am a Rick” makes nonhuman Ricks not only possible, but logical.

im doing this all to defend Theindite Ricks btw because Theind people are not even made of cells or atoms but weird polygon-like “magical” structures, so they dont have “genes” or dna as we know of it

but idk and i feel like trying to justify the chair people world by earthlike logic doesnt make sense, its just another variation on existance, one of infinite possiblities like every other

oh god im overanalyzing a comedy show where a dimansion called “greasy grandma world” is canon

and im not sure if that was before or after he met Rick but if it was after it was pretty shortly after. im also not sure /exactly/ how it all went down, but it was before Rick met Resident Morty (who is NOT his original Morty, idk what happened to his original Morty though) 

after that they spent quite a bit of time working together, and by working i mean robbing drugstores to get ingredients for their weird science shit. 

and over the years Ricks tolerance for shitRick grew less and less, until it got to the point where Rick was doing pretty much all he could to push shitRick away. of course shitRick still wanted to be friends with Rick (in fact, he thought they /were/ friends instead of it just being a practical alliance based on mutual aide) so he had a pretty hard time letting Rick go. in fact, he couldnt really do it at all. i mean, his original dimension was uninhabitable by him, its not easy for him to just FIND another one to substitute, and Rick was really the only person who he actually knew, and Rick was familiar so of course he wanted to stick around the ONLY thing that has been constant and familiar. so he did. he followed Rick through pretty much every dimension he stayed in, not getting too close, but certainly keeping a close watch on him. Rick quickly became aware of this and did everything he could to deter shitRick, but yknow shitRick /is/ a Rick. and eventually Rick just. stopped bothering. and eventually it seemed like shitRick left him alone, and was letting him be. 

after Rick met Resident Morty and he found a nice place to hide from society with his grandson, he never really thought about shitRick anymore. he just kinda hoped that maybe shitRick died or something, yknow. so hed never have to see him again
