๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐จ Last week I went to a preview dinner at @thegantrylondon, Stratfords brand new hotel, bar & restaurant. Iโll start off by saying the building is beautiful, thatโs from the bar to the restaurant, the balcony, and down to all the rooms. Even the standard rooms feel like luxury with the mix of warm navy tones and copper panelling. The food menu keeps it simple, youโve got 3 mains; beef cheeks, trout, or mushroom risotto. If I hadnโt made my own risotto the night before then I would have been all over that, so we went for the other 2. The beef cheeks were nice, the red wine jus just needed to be a bit richer and thicker and this would have been perfect. For small plates you have prawn and potato croquettes which were delicious, never had a prawn croquette before! Thereโs also crispy paneer with a really nice mango chutney, and a cheese & charcuterie with a blue cheese that was incredible. With the 4 desserts on offer you deffo have to get the sticky toffee pudding.
